The Galaxy Fold8 Wide weight of 201g makes it the lightest Galaxy Z Fold ever. But it is thicker than the Ultra. Lighter but thicker, so what do you actually notice?
First, the Galaxy Fold8 Wide weight. The table makes it clear. The Fold8 Wide is 201g, the Ultra 215g, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra, a bar-type phone, 214g. A foldable that weighs less than the top bar-type phone is a first for the Galaxy Fold line.

But thickness goes the other way. Folded, the Wide is 9.7mm and the Ultra 8.9mm. The S26 Ultra is 7.9mm. Open, the Wide is 4.5mm and the Ultra 4.1mm. Folded or open, the Wide is thicker than the Ultra.
