50% charge in 15 minutes. But the charger you need is not in the box.
iPhone 18 Pro charging is faster over a cable. It reaches 50% in 15 minutes, five minutes faster than the previous generation.
But there is a condition. You need a 60W charging adapter for this speed. The previous generation reached 50% in 20 minutes with 40W or more. This is the first time an iPhone has called for a 60W adapter.
The 60W adapter is not included with the phone. You buy it separately.
Wireless charging did not change. MagSafe and the Qi2 wireless standard stay at up to 25W, the same as before.
By Apple’s own figures, video playback on the iPhone 18 Pro goes from 33 to 36 hours, three hours more than the previous generation. That is about 9%.

Part of that comes from the battery itself. The model sold in the US is eSIM only, and the space a SIM tray would take goes to the battery instead. Models with a SIM tray are rated at 34 hours, so the figure varies by region.
But Apple does not publish battery capacity, so there is no way to tell how much of the gain is the bigger cell. And the playback figure comes from Apple’s own test conditions.
